Red Chrysanthemum

This bold mum seems to be reaching out to the world. Its petals gradually unfurling to greet what may come. Its red is bold and decisive. It stands alone, but unencumbered by its solidarity. This was the first drawing in this series. As a result it is a little more loose in its execution. Special thanks to Erika Stephens for the permission to use her image for reference.
