 Hi, I'm Joey!

After the loss of a parent and the end of a nearly ten year relationship I've come to embrace a quiet life pursuing the basics, rather than grand exhibitions. Those basics being connection to others, making enough scratch to pay the rent, feed the dog, and have the ability to breath fresh air, and not sweat the small stuff.

Thanks to a better understanding of how I function and where I come from, I've gained an earnestness that previously would have made me scoff. That earnestness has led to a freedom of sorts, a freedom to embrace more than before from this gigantic world and the experiences we humans go through.

My art work has always been connected to feeling over the analytical and I've come to embrace that as OK, even better, necessary!

My work has been exhibited around the world, predominantly in North America and found its way in to the homes of hundreds of collectors over the course of a twenty year career in making art. Since 2015 flowers have found a home in my work as a motif.

Flowers are vast.

I believe that we feel everything and much of the world, especially men, subdue a lot of our emotions for the sake of keeping up appearances or not knowing how to express them. Flowers symbolize everything under the sun and have been used as a form of communication for thousands of years. Their life cycles allude to our own and I find beauty in that.

I find beauty in sharing blooms that can have multiple meanings grafted onto them to help us share our experiences, from our highest highs, to our lowest lows when we need connection to one another.

In my sculptural work I want to make these connections, but the works are extremely time consuming and in turn very expensive and not as accessible to a wider audience in terms of acquisition.

This shop offers a space for you to purchase prints, reproductions, and occasionally small originals ranging from $40 and not exceeding $400.

Over time I hope to add to this shop, increase it's audience, and have a place for you to come and buy flowers that resonate with you and last a lifetime.
